I think a lot of people aren’t familiar with the term “lifestyle photography”. I do however think that people are familiar with the idea. Lifestyle photography is essentially the “candid” moments of your session, except when those candid moments are faked by me and/or you (which is fairly often!), haha. The idea behind lifestyle photography is just doing life normally (although maybe a little bit more styled) and having a photographer there to capture the moments in sort of a photojournalistic, artistic way. Birth photography is often lifestyle photography, a big part of wedding photography is lifestyle photography, and I bet, if you’ve ever had any images like this taken of you or your kids you know it, because when you look at lifestyle images it tugs at your heartstrings. It makes you say, “Wow, that is exactly what I feel.” It wraps up happy moments and puts them in a safe, artistic, beautiful place so that you can always remember them and the emotion there. Anyways, that’s a lot of talk, sorry guys, I just love love love this type of photography. I love it so much I switched my summer Kid’s Only! Mini sessions to be playtime lifestyle sessions this year. As always the Delpont family took advantage of the sessions and the boys went wild (you might remember their pillow fight picture from last summer- which was a big part of the inspiration behind these playtime sessions this year!) with their nerf guns, super hero masks, and 4 wheeler as well as some time on the trampoline! I hope you guys love these as much as I do, it just really wraps up boyhood and puts a pretty photographic bow on top!
