This wedding was special. Not just because weddings are special, but special to me. Rachel is one of my girls- she was in my small group when she was in high school and more than any of the other girls she stayed in touch in college. We’ve walked together through the highs and lows of the last 4 years and when she told me about Josiah there was a light in her. A whirlwind romance ended up at the alter less than a year after meeting- hey, when you know, you know. When she asked me to be her photographer for the day I had to think it through, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to be working or if I just wanted to celebrate. There was even a moment during the ceremony where I started crying because of how beautiful she was and how happy I was for her and I thought, wait, maybe I shouldn’t have said yes! But, truth is, I’m so glad I said yes. Being able to be present throughout the entire day was such a gift and was so wonderful. Rachel is a beautiful person, inside and out. I’m so happy for her that she has found her forever in Josiah. The wedding itself was a beautiful affair full of lavender and laughter, family and friendship, it was truly beautiful.
