Welcome! My name is Sarah and I’m a photographer located in Thompsons Station, TN. Thompsons Station is a city full of charm and history. Farms, trails, parks and walking paths all add to the magic that this town has to offer. The options for photo locations are endless and diverse.

My business seeks to walk with you and your family as you go through life, from marriage and childbirth to growing families and graduating high school seniors. My goal is to tell stories through my photography, capturing moments and details to preserve these memories forever. My images are colorful, bold and warm and can’t help but make the viewer smile. I also present them in a matte black and white which draws on the emotion of the moments.

I built my business based on how I want to see things done as a consumer of portrait photography. I have been working as a photographer for over 10 years and have been on the consumer side hiring photographers as a high school senior, a bride, and now as a mother.

My goal for any session, from births to weddings, an annual family session or an extended family get together is that you get what you are after out of your session. I have a keen awareness of emotion in a situation, and a high energy for working with equally high energy little clients. So, let’s talk and create the perfect photo session for you!

Location Highlights for Thompsons Station, TN:

Thompson’s Station Train Depot – this replica depot was constructed after the original was destroyed during the Battle of Thompsons Station. In central Thompsons Station it serves as a historic backdrop that tells the where and not just the who of the photograph. Train tracks and rolling fields, often filled with cattle or horses, create a backdrop that screams of rural Tennessee. Young clients also enjoy the replica town caboose that they can climb on and explore, bringing out lots of natural smiles.

Sarah Benson Park (https://www.thompsons-station.com/2204/Sarah-Benson-Park) – located in central Thompsons Station this park offers a variety of backdrops. I often find myself here during the busy family fall session months due to the beautiful trees and hills that create the ideal autumn backdrop. There are also many walking trails, hiking trails, fields, and bridges that create diverse options for even the largest of sessions. There is even a dog park for when the family photoshoot isn’t complete with the furry members. When the littles want to play, or we are seeking to capture lifestyle images, the train-themed playground, giant sandbox and swing set are a great asset as well.

Farms & Barns – over my years as a photographer, specifically the 6 I have spent in this area, I have connected with many wonderful people with beautiful property. Farm lands that yield fields, creeks, and old barns create beautiful backdrops that are available at my fingertips. I am happy to bring new clients to the property of past clients (with their approval of course) for unique backdrops and to connect people and make new friendships!
